Household & Structural Pests (L)

  • Lightning Bugs (Fireflies): While beneficial, large numbers entering homes can be a nuisance; they are attracted to light.
  • Lawn Ants: Ant species that build nests primarily in turf and lawns, creating small dirt mounds.

Garden & Agricultural Pests (L)

  • Leaf Miners: Larvae of insects (flies, moths, beetles) that tunnel between the upper and lower surfaces of leaves, leaving visible trails.
  • Leaf Rollers: Caterpillars that roll or fold leaves and secure them with silk, feeding within this protective shelter.
  • Locusts: Certain species of grasshoppers whose populations explode and migrate, causing massive agricultural damage.
